An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
